NGV's Summer 2021–22 children's exhibition 'The Gecko and the Mermaid: Djerrkŋu Yunupiŋu and Her Sister' introduces two significant contemporary Yolŋu artists from North-East Arnhem Land to their youngest visitors by sharing their stories, culture and language through displays of art and hands-on activities developed especially for the exhibition. I collaborated with the NGV Exhibition Design team to develop graphic design concepts and solutions for the exhibition, and oversee the production and installation of the environmental graphics, way finding signage, soft furnishings and didactic/information graphic material.
This exhibition is a collaboration between Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre and the National Gallery of Victoria.
